Hearty Supper Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| Frankfurters | 1/2 pound, thinly sliced | |
| Corn oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 green pepper, cut into narrow strips | ||
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| 2 potatoes, cooked and diced | ||
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped | |
| 1/2 cup commercial French dressing | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Head of lettuce | 1 , shredded | |
| Swiss Cheese | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), cut into thin strips | |
| 2 tomatoes, cut into thin wedges | ||
Directions
Saute frankfurters in corn oil until lightly browned.
Remove from skillet and combine with green pepper, celery, potatoes, onion, French dressing, salt, and pepper.
Cover and chill.
Just before serving, add lettuce, cheese, and tomato wedges.
Toss gently to mix.
