Healthy Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
3/4 cup (180 ml) millet
3 cheese slices
Pinch of sage
6 tomato slices
Pinch of sugar
Salt and pepper
1 small leek, finely sliced
1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
Knobs of butter
Directions
– Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
– In a saucepan containing 2 cups (500 ml) boiling water, cook millet for about 20 minutes.
– Butter a baking dish and spread a layer of cooked millet in dish, then spread a layer of cheese slices on top. Sprinkle with sage.
– Place sliced tomatoes over mixture, sprinkle with sugar and season with salt and pepper. Garnish with finely sliced leek and sliced green bell pepper. Dot with knobs of butter and bake for 25 minutes.
