The Hiwaian Banana Nut Bread sounds wonderful and I will try it very soon. Can I use wheat flour? Could I use Splendra? I've been using the Jiffy Mix for years but trying to be healthier. Suggestions welcome, with thanks!

Hi! It's so nice to meet you! Thank you for watching and commenting! This bread is a really nice change from regular banana bread. The pineapple makes it nice and moist. Splenda will work great! Unfortunately, I've never substituted wheat flour in this recipe before. Wish I had the ingredients on hand because I would try it and see how it turns out. Wheat flour would be healthier! :-) I use Jiffy Mix all the time too. It's so good! Have a beautiful day! Hugs!

I like the pineapple twist you have added to the Hawaiian Banana nut bread. And, I never knew adding pineapple could make the bread moist; thanks for the tip! Well, I have tried making Banana bread quite a few times, but, as always, it seems to crumble, may be mine wasn't as moist as it should have been. Pineapple is one way, I agree. But what I have learned from a few peers of mine is that, even without pineapple banana bread can be made moist... SO that should me some blunder i do with the mixing i believe...I also make sure that i don't over cook or bake the bread.. SO what can be the culprit?

Hi ifoodiee. I'm not a big fan of banana bread either, but the pineapple works wonders! I'll check on some other cake recipes with fruits for you. I have a fruit cocktail cookie recipe that is really different and addictive, http://www.ifood.tv/recipe/fruit_cocktail_cookies. It's a harder, more time-consuming recipe to make, but the end result is awesome! I usually make those cookies during Christmas as a treat. I can't leave them alone! :-) Hugs...

Hi Menu Master! Thank you for posting. Is the video playing for you yet? If not, I will try to reupload this in a different format. I've been having a lot of trouble lately getting my videos to play for some reason. As for a sauce, I don't have one just yet... let me look into that for you and see what I can come up with. :-) Have a beautiful day! :-)
