Hawaiian Sweet Sour Ham Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 cups cooked ham in julienne strips | ||
| Pineapple tidbits | 1 9 Ounce | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cornstarch | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Monosodium glutamate | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Vinegar | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Prepared mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 green pepper, cut in strips | ||
| Cooked rice | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Brown ham in small amount hot fat.
Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
Mix next 5 ingredients; stir in syrup and water; add to skillet.
Cook and stir till mixture thickens.
Cover; simmer 10 minutes.
Add pineapple tidbits and green pepper strips; simmer 5 to 8 minutes.
Salt to taste.
Serve with hot cooked rice.
