Solar Cooked Hawaiian Pork Recipe Video

2 lbs pork shoulder
 
2 teaspoon Hawaiian sea salt
 
1 ½ liquid smoke
 
1 banana peel

Directions

Sprinkle sea salt on pork, then rub liquid smoke and place pork in black glazed pot. Place banana peel on top for flavor. Close the pot with black lid and place the pot in solar heater. Check the pot every 2 hours. After about 4 hours check the pork, peel turns black. Discard the peel. The meat has become tender. It is moist, flavorful and easy to pull apart. The Hawaiian Kalua pork is ready to serve. It can be served with steamed rice and green cabbage salad.
