Flavored Hawaiian Chicken Recipe
Seeing how popular Hawaiian Chicken has become with my family, I can assure that its going to be popular with your family too. Asian folks out there will love this recipe. Chicken is one of the few ingredients I like to include in my daily cooking and this is my comfort recipe that I usually prepare using it. I prepare this yum Hawaiian Chicken as a Main Dish every month or even more often. Once you try out this Hawaiian Chicken recipe, don't forget to inform me what you think about it .
Ingredients
1 onion, peeled and chopped
2 tablespoons curry powder
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon all purpose flour
2 cups chicken bouillon
2 tablespoons apricot jelly or chutney
Salt and pepper
1 apple, cored and chopped
1 banana, sliced
3 tablespoons golden raisins
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
2 cups cooked, chopped chicken meat
2 rings drained pineapple, chopped
Directions
1 Place the onion, curry powder and oil in a 2.25 litre/4 pint (10 cup) casserole, cover with the lid, and microwave on full power for 2 minutes.
2 Stir in the flour and gradually stir in the stock (bouillon).
3 Add jam (jelly) or chutney, salt and pepper to taste, apple, banana and sultanas (raisins). Stir, and cover with lid.
4 Microwave on full power for 10 minutes, stirring once, half way through cooking.
5 Add the frozen vegetables, chicken meat and pineapple.
6 Microwave, covered, on full power for 5 minutes. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Serve with rice, cucumber and coconut.
