Ingredients

 Sweet potatoes1 Can (10oz), drained
 Butter7 Tablespoon, melted
 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
 Firmly packed brown sugar1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Topping:)

 Cardamom1/4 Teaspoon (Topping:)
 Cold butter1 Tablespoon (Topping:)
 Pecans2 Tablespoon, chopped (Topping:)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In 1-quart round casserole, mash sweet potatoes until smooth.
Stir in the 7 tablespoons melted butter, in small bowl cut 1 tablespoon cold butter into brown sugar, flour, and cardamom.
Stir in pecans and sprinkle one-half of the mixture over potatoes.
Arrange apple slices on lop.
Sprinkle with remaining mixture.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until apples arc crisp/tender.
