Harvest Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
| Sweet potatoes | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Butter | 7 Tablespoon, melted | |
| 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced | ||
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Topping:) | |
| All purpose flour | 1 Tablespoon (Topping:) | |
| Cardamom | 1/4 Teaspoon (Topping:) | |
| Cold butter | 1 Tablespoon (Topping:) | |
| Pecans | 2 Tablespoon, chopped (Topping:) | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In 1-quart round casserole, mash sweet potatoes until smooth.
Stir in the 7 tablespoons melted butter, in small bowl cut 1 tablespoon cold butter into brown sugar, flour, and cardamom.
Stir in pecans and sprinkle one-half of the mixture over potatoes.
Arrange apple slices on lop.
Sprinkle with remaining mixture.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until apples arc crisp/tender.
