 Unsweetened applesauce7 3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Dates1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Seedless raisins1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 cup chopped, dried peaches
 1/2 cup chopped, dried apricots
 Honey3 Teaspoon
 2 tsp grated lemon rind
 1 cup chopped walnuts or a mixture of chopped nuts and chopped sunflower seeds
 Safflower oil1/2 Teaspoon

Directions

Combine applesauce, fruit, honey, and lemon rind in a saucepan.
Simmer, uncovered, over low heat, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes.
It should be very thick.
Cool.
Pour into an unbaked 9-inch pie crust of your choice.
Sprinkle nuts over fruit.
Bake at 375° 30 minutes, or until crust is baked and top is lightly browned.
