Harry Trodlier's Frijoles Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 lb. well rinsed pinto beans | ||
| Black pepper | 1 Teaspoon (Leveled) | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, diced | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), diced | |
| Celery seed | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 tsp. cominos, whole or powdered | ||
| Jalapeno pepper | 1 To taste, canned | |
| Chili powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Place all ingredients in a large pot and cover with a close fitting lid.
Add water to cover beans and let simmer over low heat approximately 3 hr.
40 min During the last stages of simmering add salt to your craving.
