Hard Sauce With Rum Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/3 cup soft butter'or margarine | ||
| Boiling water | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Powdered sugar | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| 1 teaspoon vanilla, or 2 or 3 tablespoons cognac or rum | ||
| English walnut halves | ||
Directions
1. Blend boiling water with butter; gradually add powdered sugar, beating hard. Flavor to taste.
2. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper, top each mound with a walnut half, and chill. If preferred, mixture may be heaped in serving bowl, sprinkled with chopped nuts, and chilled.
