Ingredients

 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)

 Baking soda1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Dry cocoa3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Shortening1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Milk1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg1
 Vanilla1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Confectioner’s sugar1 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) (Filling:)
 Margarine3/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Filling:)
 1/2 jar marshmallow crème

Directions

Sift together flour, sugars, baking soda, cocoa and salt into a bowl.
Add shortening, milk and egg; beat.
Add vanilla and mix.
Drop by tablespoons-ful onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated 425-degree oven for 8 minutes.
Remove and cool.
Combine filling ingredients, beating until smooth.
Fill between two cookies, sandwich style.
