Hank Bars Recipe

Ingredients
Base
1/2 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup margarine
1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
Directions
Base: Combine oatmeal, flour, margarine, and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
Cut and work margarine into dry mixture until mixture is in small crumbs.
Lightly grease an 8 x 8 in. (20 x 20 cm) baking pan with vegetable oil spray.
Press mixture into the bottom of the pan.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes, or until lightly browned on edges.
Remove from oven.
Cool dough slightly.
Topping: Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together in a saucepan over low heat.
Spread chocolate mixture over entire surface of base.
Cool completely; then cut into 36 bars.
