Barbequed Hamburgers Recipe
Ingredients
| 1.5 kg/3 lb lean minced beef | ||
| Breadcrumbs | 50 Gram | |
| Black pepper salt | 1 To taste | |
| Thyme | 1 1/2 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| 1 egg, lightly beaten | ||
| Accompaniments | ||
| Tomatoes | 3 Medium, thinly sliced | |
| 1 large onion, thinly sliced and pushed out into rings | ||
| Lettuce leaves | 6 Large | |
| 6 hamburger buns or baps relishes, tomato ketchup, mustard, etc. | ||
Directions
Mix together the beef, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper to taste, the thyme and egg.
Knead and then form into six patties.
Arrange the tomatoes, onion rings and lettuce on a serving dish.
Halve the buns or baps.
Barbecue the hamburgers for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side.
This will produce rare hamburgers.
If you prefer them well done, increase the cooking time accordingly.
When the hamburgers are nearly ready, place the buns or baps on the grid to heat through.
Place a hamburger on each bun or bap bottom and add the tops.
Serve hot, with the accompaniments.
