Hamburger-Rice Soup Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 lb. hamburger
1 small onion
1 No. 303 can tomatoes
2 beef bouillon cubes Salt
Pepper
Soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
Sprinkle of sugar
Bay leaf
1/2 c. rice
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Directions
Brown hamburger and saute onion in saucepan.
Add tomatoes and juice, bouillon cubes and enough water to cover.
Add seasonings, sauce, sugar and bay leaf; bring to boil.
Reduce heat; add rice.
Mix cornstarch with small amount of cold water; add to soup.
Simmer 20 to 30 minutes.
Amounts of ingredients may be varied to suit individual taste.
May need to add water to prevent sticking and to make soupy enough.
