1 pound ground chuck
 
1 small onion, chopped
 
1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
 
4 ounces Neufchatel cheese, cubed
 
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
 
1/2 teaspoon ground savory
 
1/2 teaspoon pepper
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1 (5.5-ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits Vegetable cooking spray
 
1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
 
1 egg Ground paprika

Directions

Combine ground chuck and onion in a large skillet; cook until meat is browned and onion is tender.
Drain meat mixture in a colander, and pat dry with a paper towel; wipe pan drippings from skillet with a paper towel.
Return meat mixture to skillet; add mushrooms and Neufchatel cheese.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese melts.
Stir in next 4 ingredients, blending well.
Split each biscuit in half; pat biscuit dough evenly into a 9-inch pie plate coated with cooking spray.
Spoon meat mixture over dough.
Combine cottage cheese and egg, mixing well; spread evenly over meat mixture.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
