Hamburger Pie Recipe
Even James Bond was not able to access this highly classified recipe of Hamburger Pie. Now I am outing it for all on the web. I prefer to make Hamburger Pie as a Side Dish for all my family get-togethers. The Hamburger Pie is made with Beef which can be easily found at any grocery store. In my estimation, if one calls oneself a good cook, one ought to have a personal recipe of Hamburger Pie, just like I do.
Ingredients
1 recipe 2-crust 9-in. pie pastry
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. catsup
1tsp. prepared mustard
2 med. potatoes, sliced
2 med. onions, chopped
1/4 c. butter
1 can brown gravy with mushrooms
1 can beef bouillon
Directions
Fit half the pastry into pie pan.
Combine beef, poul- try seasoning, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce with catsup and mustard.
Spoon into pastry-lined pan.
Fry potatoes and onions in butter until pota- toes are soft and onions lightly browned; stir gravy into potato mixture.
Pour over beef mixture.
Fit re- maining pastry over pie.
Seal edges; cut steam vents.
Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
