Hamburg Steak Recipe

Even a bar of chocolate cannot lift my spirits as well as this Hamburg Steak. A delicious Hamburg Steak gets its taste from Beef. Best enjoyed as a Main Dish this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. Treat your family to this Hamburg Steak and they are going to adore you for it.

Ingredients

 
Beef- 2 pounds, chopped
 
Suet- 1/4 pound
 
Salt- 1 teaspoon
 
Pepper- a small amount
 
Onion- 3 tablespoons chopped
 
Flour and butter- as required

Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by chopping the beef and suet together twice

MAKING
2.In a bowl, add salt, pepper, and onion
3.Take the mixture and press into a flat steak 3/4 inch thick and sprinkle with flour
4.Broil on a fine wire broiler or brown in a little fat
5.Spread with butter
6.When meat is browned, make a gravy by adding a little water to drip pan and thicken with flour

SERVING
7.Serve with rice, salads, or cooked vegetables

TIPS
The steak may also be shaped into small flat cakes
