Hamburg Plaice Recipe
Ingredients
| Plaice | 2 Pound, cleaned | |
| Peas - 1 small tin | ||
| Tomatoes | 4 | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Dill | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Salt | 1 To taste | |
| Sugar - to taste | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon (For the sauce :) | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon (For the sauce :) | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (For the sauce :) | |
| Nutmeg - a pinch, grated | ||
| Salt | 1 To taste (For the sauce :) | |
| Pepper | To Taste (For the sauce :) | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1.Preheat the oven to 400F gas mark 6.
MAKING
2.Add a sprinkling of lemon juice and salt on plaice.
3.Take a soaked Romertopf and Add the seasoned plaice in it.
4.Add a sprinkling of butter cut in small pieces.
5.Add little sugar and chopped dill and cook for 1 1/4 hours after putting the lid on.
6.When 20 minutes are left, take a saucepan, heat butter in it and add flour.
7.Cook for 3 minutes.
8.Add milk and stir until thick.
9.Add salt, pepper and grated nutmeg.
SERVING
10.Serve plaice topped with sauce.
