Also some countries prefer adding some toasted ground cumin in place of pine nuts. Good olive oil is a must to drizzle on hummus! Enjoy and try different variations.

Hummus is a very popular mezze (appetizer) all over the Middle East  Opps you forgot the sesame (Tahini) in the ingredients but you did mention it. Also it is nice to add  a few chopped fresh parsley leaves and some chopped pine nuts, toasted lightly.  Serve with toasted pita or nan.
