Ham Quiche Recipe
Ingredients
| Unbaked 10-in. pastry shell | 1 | |
| Bacon slices | 6 | |
| Onion | 1 Small, thinly sliced | |
| Eggs | 4 | |
| Light cream | 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
| Dry mustard | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Basil | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Ham | 1⁄2 Pound, cut into thin strips | |
| Swiss cheese | 1⁄4 Pound, grated |
Directions
"Place pastry shell in freezer until well chilled.
Cook bacon until crisp; drain on paper towel.
Cook onion in bacon drippings until transparent; drain.
Beat eggs, cream, mustard, basil and salt until well blended.
Crumble bacon; mix in onion.
Sprinkle in pastry shell; add half the ham and half the cheese.
Add remaining ham; top with cheese.
Pour egg mix- ture over all.
Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees.
Bake for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.."
