2 beaten eggs
 
1/2 cup coarsely crushed saltine crackers (10 crackers)
 
1/2 cup milk
 
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
 
2 tablespoons vinegar
 
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
 
1 1/2 pounds fully cooked ham, ground (about 5 cups)
 
1/2 pound ground pork
 
Sliced rye bread
 
Sweet pickle relish

Directions

Advance preparation:
Combine eggs, crushed crackers, milk, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, and dash pepper; mix in ham and pork.
Pat into 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350° about 1 1/4 hours.
Drain off fat.
Refrigerate in pan till well chilled.

Before serving:
Slice loaf.
Serve on rye bread with sweet pickle relish and additional mustard.
Makes 6 to 8 sandwiches.
