Ham Chafing Discs (hors d'oeuvre) Recipe
This Ham Chafing Discs gives your favorite ham an interestingly delicious twist. Extremely easy and simple, this recipe can be made in no time and is a best pick for party snacks!
Ingredients
Deviled ham – 1 jar (3-ounce)
Processed sharp cheese - 1 cup
Onion - 1/4 cup, grated
Pickle relish - 2 tablespoons
Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
Mayonnaise - 2 to 3 tablespoons
Fresh white bread loaf - 1 small, sliced lengthwise with crust removed
Butter or margarine - 1/4 cup
Chopped parsley for garnish
Directions
MAKING
1) Take a large bowl and combine in it ham, onion, cheese, Worcestershire sauce and relish.
2) Mash the mixture to a paste, using enough mayonnaise to moisten.
3) Spread each slice of bread with mixture.
4) Roll and secure with toothpicks.
5) Wrap in wax paper or foil and store in refrigerator until chafing time.
6) Slice in discs of 1/2 inch thickness.
7) Take a blazer pan heat 2 tablespoons butter in it.
8) Fry the discs in small batches until delicate brown in color on both sides. Add butter as and when required.
SERVING
9) Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
