Ham-And-Potato Scallop Recipe
Ingredients
4 cups sliced, peeled, cooked potatoes
2 cups cubed cooked ham
1 can (1 pound) small boiled onions, drained
2 cups milk
3 tablespoons instant-type flour
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions
1 Make two layers each of the potato slices, ham, and onions in a shallow 8-cup baking dish.
2 Combine milk, flour, butter or margarine, salt, and pepper in a small saucepan; cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and boils 1 minute; pour over layers.
3 Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 40 minutes, or until bubbly hot.
Sprinkle with finely cut chives, if you wish.
