Ham With Mustard And Madeira Or Sherry Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Boiled ham slices | 4 , trimmed | |
| Tomato paste | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Mild french mustard | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Beef broth | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Madeira/Sherry | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Scallions | 3 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Sour cream | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) |
Directions
MAKING
1 In a pan, heat the butter.
2 Put the ham steaks in the pan and sauté until lightly colored.
3 Remove the ham from the pan and transfer to a dish.
4 In the same pan, add tomato paste and mustard.
5 Gradually stir in the flour.
6 Pour in the beef broth and Madeira slowly, stirring constantly.
7 Return the ham to the pan and simmer for 20 minutes.
SERVING
8 Serve hot, garnished with chopped raw scallions and sour cream.
