Ham Waffles Recipe
Ingredients
| Plain flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 2 , separated | |
| Milk | 1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Melted butter | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3/4 cup minced ham | ||
Directions
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl.
Beat the egg yolks until pale yellow, then combine with the milk.
Stir the egg and milk mixture into the flour.
Add the melted butter, bacon fat or vegetable and the minced ham.
Blend thoroughly.
Set aside and allow to stand for at least one hour.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and gently fold into the batter.
Pour on enough batter to fill a hot lightly oiled waffle iron two-thirds full with the batter.
Cook until the steam stops escaping.
