Ham Steaks With Sauteed Cabbage Recipe
Ingredients
Butter or margarine
1 8-ounce package boneless, fully cooked individual ham steaks (4 2-ounce ham steaks)
1 small head green cabbage coarsely sliced
2 tablespoons apple jelly or orange marmalade
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 8 3/4 ounce can sliced peaches, drained
How to make Ham Steaks With Sauteed Cabbage
1. In 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in 1 teaspoon hot butter or margarine, cook ham steaks until browned on both sides. Remove steaks to plate as they brown.2. In same skillet over medium heat, in 2 tablespoons hot butter or margarine (1/4 stick), cook cabbage with apple jelly and prepared mustard 15 minutes, stirring often, until cabbage is tender.
3. Return ham steaks to skillet; add peaches and heat through.
