Ham Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 lb. lean cooked ham | ||
| Almonds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), shredded | |
| Butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Dry sherry | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Kohlrabi | 1 | |
| 2 young carrots | ||
| Apple | 1 | |
| Banana | 1 Small | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 | |
| Walnut oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 heaping tbs. curry powder | ||
| Sour cream | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Yogurt | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Pinch | |
Directions
Cut the ham into thin strips.
Saute the almond slivers in the butter, stirring constantly.
Add the sherry and immediately pour over the ham.
Set aside.
Peel the kohlrabi and carrots; peel and core the apple.
Cut all vegetables and fruit into slices and then into strips.
Add the sliced banana to the apple strips and sprinkle with lemon juice.
Peel and dice the onion.
Saute in the oil until translucent.
Add the curry, then the sour cream and yogurt and season with the salt and pepper.
Set aside a few strips of ham for a garnish.
Mix in all the other ingredients.
Pour on the dressing and scatter ham over the salad.
