Ham Rolled Endives Recipe

I always cook this Ham Rolled Endives when it is my turn to cook at home. Ham Rolled Endives is a really warm and comfortble food.This is for sure going to be your favourite dish!

Ingredients

 
3 tbsp (45 ml) butter
 
8 endives
 
8 slices ham, cooked
 
3 cups (750 ml) hot bechamel sauce
 
1/4 tsp (1 ml) nutmeg
 
1 tbsp (15 ml) grated Parmesan cheese
 
Salt and pepper
 
1/4 CUp (60 ml) grated cheese

Directions

–  Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Butter a baking dish.
–  In a skillet, melt butter and cook endives.
–  Place 1 endive on each ham slice, roll, secure with a toothpick and place in baking dish.
–  In a saucepan containing bechamel sauce, add nutmeg and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper then pour mixture over endive-ham rolls, cover and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Heat broiler.
–  Sprinkle endive-ham rolls with grated cheese broil to brown.

This recipie is always a hit. I have family from the top to the bottom of the east coast and they all love it. I was taught to make a mornay sauce and i do it w/o the nutmeg and add garlic but either way its great.
