Ham Pasta Primavera Recipe
Ham pasta primavera is a spaghetti recipe prepared with ham and vegetables. Skillet cooked with butter, the vegetables are sauteed to tenderness. With added milk and ham, the vegetables are cooked in a creamy milk sauce and served with the pasta for a satifying lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
3 tablespoons unsalted margarine or butter, divided
1 cup pea pods
1/2 cup shredded carrots
3 green onions, sliced
1 small red pepper, cut into strips
3/4 cup evaporated skim milk
3 cups (12 ounces) Lower Salt Ham cut into small cubes
10 ounces uncooked spaghetti, cooked according to package directions omitting salt and drained
Directions
Melt 1 tablespoon of the margarine in medium skillet over medium heat.
Add vegetables; saute until tender.
Add remaining 2 tablespoons margarine, milk and ham.
Cook over medium-high heat about 3 to 4 minutes, or until mixture thickens slightly.
