Ham N Cheese 'N' Peppers Recipe
Ingredients
4 large green peppers
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 pound cooked ground ham
1 cup packaged herb-seasoned stuffing
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 (16-ounce) can tomatoes
1 (8-ounce) package sliced Swiss cheese
Directions
Cut slice from stem ends of peppers; remove seeds.
Cook peppers and slices in boiling salted water for 3 minutes; drain.
Saute onion in butter or margarine until tender.
Combine ham, stuffing, parsley, black pepper, tomatoes, and sauteed onions.
Take 2 slices of cheese from package without separating them; cut into 6 strips.
Repeat with 2 more slices.
Place 3 strips upright in each pepper.
Cube remaining cheese; stir into ham mixture.
Spoon mixture into peppers; replace top slices; arrange peppers in shallow baking pan.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes, or until peppers are tender.
