Ham Mousse With Asparagus Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 pound lightly smoked ham
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt Pepper
Paprika powder
3 ounces finely chopped aromatic herbs (dill, parsley, thyme)
Garnish:
Lettuce leaves
1 can asparagus tips
Sliced fresh cucumber
Directions
1. Chop the ham finely and mix with the mustard, pepper, paprika, salt, and the chopped aromatic herbs.
2. Beat the egg whites to very stiff peaks and whip the cream. Sprinkle the gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Heat over low heat till gelatin dissolves. Mix with the cream. Add the ham mixture and the egg white foam. Pour the batter in a greased ring mold and put in a cold place to set. Place on a serving dish; garnish with lettuce leaves and asparagus tips. Put sliced cucumber in the hole in the middle
