Ham Croquettes Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 3 Tablespoon | |
| All purpose flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups ground fully cooked ham | ||
| Instant minced onion | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 3/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Fat for frying | ||
| 1 8-ounce package frozen peas in cream sauce | ||
Directions
Advance preparation: In saucepan melt butter; blend in flour.
Add milk; cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Remove from heat; stir in ham, onion, and dry mustard.
Cover; refrigerate up to 24 hours.
Before serving: Shape ham mixture into 8 to 10 balls.
Roll in crumbs.
Shape into cones, handling lightly.
Combine egg and 2 tablespoons water.
Dip ham cones into egg mixture.
Roll in crumbs again.
Fry in deep hot fat (375°) till heated through, about 2 minutes.
Drain.
