Ham Corn Cake Recipe

Ingredients
7 tsp margarine
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1 1/4 cup Featherweight cornflour
1/2 cup Featherweight oat flour
5 tsp Featherweight baking powder
1 salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
3 tsp margarine, melted
8 oz. Featherweight golden corn, drained
16 oz. Featherweight ham, drained and chopped
Cheese Sauce
Directions
Melt 1 tsp (15 ml) margarine in a saucepan.
Add onion and green pepper: cook until tender.
Set aside to cool.
In a bowl, combine dry ingredients-corn flour, oat flour, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl, beat together the egg, milk and 3 tsp (45 ml) melted margarine; add to dry ingredients and mix well.
Add cooked onion and green pepper, corn and ham: stir to mix.
Turn into a greased 9 x 9 x 2 in. (23 x 23 x 5 cm) pan.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) about 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
Add onion and green pepper: cook until tender.
