 Potatoes1 Kilogram, thinly sliced
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), crushed
 Ham125 Gram, chopped
 Low fat cheese1 Cup (16 tbs), grated
 Ground nutmeg1/2 Teaspoon
 Ground black pepper1 To taste
 Chicken stock2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Margarine30 Gram
 Mixed herbs1 Tablespoon, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 1 80°C (350°F).
Place a layer of potatoes on the base of a lightly greased casserole dish.
Sprinkle with garlic.
Continue layering with ham, half the cheese and remaining potato, sprinkling with nutmeg and pepper between each layer.
Finish with a potato layer.
Pour over stock.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Dot with margarine.
Bake for a further 20 minutes or until golden.
