 2 hard-cooked eggs
 Green pepper2 Tablespoon, chopped (FILLING:)
 Or bread flour1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted (TOPPING:)
 Baking powder2 1/2 Teaspoon (TOPPING:)
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon (TOPPING:)
 Shortening3 Tablespoon (TOPPING:)

Directions

For filling, brown onion and celery in hot butter; blend in flour; then add milk gradually and cook, stirring, until thickened.
Season to taste.
Add quartered eggs, green pepper and ham.
Scrape into greased casserole.
Mix topping ingredients in order given, as for dumplings; spread the soft dough over ham mixture, and bake at 400F for about 30 minutes.
