Ham and Cheese Squares Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 1/2 Pound | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Butter | 2 Ounce | |
| 3/4 gill milk | ||
| Mayonnaise | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 lb. smoked ham sausage | ||
| Onion | 1 , chopped | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 4 Ounce, grated | |
| Dry mustard | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Salt, pepper milk extra grated cheese | ||
Directions
Sift flour and salt into basin, rub in butter.
Combine milk and mayonnaise, cut into dry ingredients with knife until all liquid is absorbed.
Turn on to floured board and kneed lightly.
Divide in half, roll out one portion to fit base of greased 11 in. x 7 in. tin.
Sprinkle over chopped ham sausage.
Combine onion, cheese, mustard and parsley, season to taste and sprinkle over ham.
Roll out remaining pastry and place over filling.
Glaze with milk and sprinkle with extra grated cheese.
Bake in hot oven, Mark 7, 425°F. for 20 minutes.
