Ham and Cheese French Toast Recipe
Ingredients
| Eggs | 3 | |
| Milk | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| White-bread slices - 8 , lightly buttered | ||
| Ham slice | 4 , boiled | |
| Swiss or American cheese - 4 slices | ||
| Butter or margarine | ||
Directions
MAKING
1 In a bowl, beat eggs with milk, sugar and salt using a rotary beater.
2 Prepare 4 sandwiches with bread, ham and cheese and cut diagonally into quarters.
3 In a shallow baking dish, arrange the sandwiches in a single layer.
4 Pour egg mixture over the top, covering completely.
5 Refrigerate overnight.
6 Just before serving, In a skillet, heat butter and saute sandwiches until golden on each side and cheese is slightly melted.
SERVING
7 Serve at once.
