Ham And Cheese Bread Bake Recipe
|Unsalted butter/Margarine||1 Tablespoon|
|Yellow onion||1 Medium, finely chopped|
|Asparagus tips/Chopped broccoli / green peas||10 Ounce, frozen, thawed and drained (1 Package)|
|Baked ham/Boiled ham||1 Pound, cut into 1-inch cubes|
|Whole wheat bread slice||4 , cut into 1-inch squares|
|Egg white||1 Large|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Shredded monterey jack cheese/Shredded cheddar cheese||4 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dijon mustard||1 Tablespoon|

Melt the butter in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over moderate heat.
Add the onion and saute, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly softened.
Add the asparagus tips and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
Add the ham and bread and toss to mix.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and egg white with the milk, all but 2 tablespoons of the cheese, the salt, pepper, and mustard, just enough to combine.
Stir in the skillet mixture.
Pour all into a greased flameproof 2-quart shallow baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Transfer the dish to the broiler, and broil 4 inches from the heat for 2 minutes or until lightly golden.
