Halloween Date Cake Recipe
First of all let me thank my neighbor for sharing this excellent Halloween Date Cake recipe. I tried this recipe for Halloween Date Cake the other day and was totally bowled over. It is served as a delicious Dessert. It is highly recommended to try out this great Halloween Date Cake recipe.
Ingredients
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. ground cloves
1 c. warm water
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 t. baking soda
1 c. chopped dates.
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions
Place first six ingredients in a saucepan in order listed.
Mix well.
Slowly bring to a boil and boil 30 seconds.
Cool.
Measure and sift together flour and baking soda.
Stir into cooled spice liquid, beating well.
Fold in dates and nuts.
