Halibut With Tomatoes Recipe
Ingredients
| Olive oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 4 6 oz halibut steaks | ||
| Onion | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| 28 oz canned spicy tomatoes, drained | ||
| Tomato Paste | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 cup fish broth or stock, heated | ||
| Green bell pepper | 1 To taste, minced | |
| Lemon | 1 , sliced | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp (15 mL) oil.
Cook halibut steaks 3 minutes each side.
Season.
Remove from skillet.
Transfer to an ovenproof dish.
Continue cooking in oven 5-6 minutes.
Meanwhile, in the same skillet, heat remaining oil.
Cook onion 2 minutes.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, hot broth and bell peppers.
Adjust seasoning.
Cook 4 minutes.
Spoon tomato sauce into a serving dish.
Place halibut steaks on top.
Garnish with lemon slices.
