Haddock With Prawn And Mushroom Sauce Recipe

Haddock with prawn and mushroom sauce is one of my favorite recipes for this fish. I prepare this dish often for weekends and my family just loves it. made with fried haddock fillets along with mushrooms and prawns in a creamy sauce, the haddock with prawns and mushrooms sauce is best served with sprinkled parsley.

Ingredients

 Haddock fillets13 Ounce, frozen
 Salt To Taste
  black pepper1
 Butter1 Ounce
 Oil2 Teaspoon
 Button mushrooms4 Ounce, thinly sliced
 A squeeze of lemon juice
 2 oz. frozen prawns or shrimps
 6 tablespoons double [heavy] cream

Directions

Season the haddock fillets with salt and pepper.
Melt the butter and oil in a frying pan.
Then fry the fillets gently in the hot fat, 4-5 minutes on each side.
Transfer the cooked fillets to a heated serving dish and keep hot in a low oven.
Add the sliced mushrooms to the butter remaining in the pan, sprinkle with a little lemon juice and saute gently for about 3 minutes.
Add the prawns or shrimps to the pan and continue to saute for about 3 minutes more, until heated through.
Stir in the cream and simmer very gently until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
Taste and add more seasoning or lemon juice if necessary.
Spoon the sauce over the haddock fillets.
Garnish each fillet with a slice of lemon, and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
