Ingredients

 
7 c. thinly sliced celery
 
1/3 c. thinly sliced onion
 
1/4 c. butter
 
1 1-lb. package frozen haddock fillets
 
2 tsp. salt
 
1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
 
1/4 tsp. pepper
 
1/4 tsp. leaf thyme
 
1/4.tsp. leaf marjoram
 
1 sm. clove of garlic, crushed
 
1 bay leaf
 
1 1-lb. can cut green beans
 
1 1-lb. can sliced carrots
 
8 oz. elbow macaroni
 
2 c. milk

Directions

"Saute celery and onion in butter for about 2 minutes or until crisp-tender.
Partially thaw haddock; cut in 1-inch cubes.
Add haddock and seasonings to sau- teed mixture.
Drain bean and carrot liquids; add enough water to equal 1 1/2 quarts liquid.
Add liq- uid to haddock mixture.
Simmer for 15 minutes; bring to a boil.
Add macaroni gradually.
Boil for 10 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
Add vegetables and milk; heat to serving temperature."
