Guava Preserves Recipe
Ingredients
| 5 cups peeled ripe guava slices | ||
| Sugar Limes, halved | ||
Directions
Put guava slices into a deep pot and cover with water; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until fruit is tender.
Measure fruit and add an equal amount of sugar.
For 4 cups of fruit, use 2 limes.
Discard center and core from lime halves and squeeze.
Add the juice and shells to the fruit and sugar.
Cook at a rolling boil 10 minutes.
Skim.
Pack hot mixture into sterilized jars, seal, and store.

Help! :) We have just picked two gallons of pineapple guavas from our
tall bush.Half are ripe. I would like to make jelly or preserves. The
recipes say nothing about whether I can make the juice and refrigerate it until the next day to process then. Also the recipes say nothing about processing the filled jars (with lids on) in boiling water bath as other fruits are done. Any solutions? Thank you so much !!...
