Ingredients

 2 avocados, peeled and pitted (choose those that give when you squeeze them. Those that are hard when you buy them never get ripe and have less flavor.)
 Tomato1 Medium, cut into wedges
 Onion3 Tablespoon, cut into wedges
 Lemon juice1 Tablespoon
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
 Cayenne pepper4 To taste

Directions

Put all of the ingredients together into a blender or food processor.
Pulse on and off, pushing the big pieces to the bottom till it is smooth but still has recognizable chunks of tomato.
Serve with tortilla chips.
Note: Cover in an airtight container or eat immediately.
This turns brown quickly.
But it still tastes good when it is brown.
A layer of mayonnaise or Miracle Whip thinly spread over the top seals out the air but affects the flavor.
