Ground Beef Reuben Sandwiches Recipe
Ingredients
| Sauerkraut | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Lean ground beef | 1/2 pound | |
| Instant onion envelope | 1/2 | |
| Prepared mustard | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Salad oil | ||
| 2 tablespoons tomato-based chili sauce | ||
| 2 sandwich-size slices Swiss cheese | ||
| 4 slices Russian rye bread, toasted and buttered | ||
Directions
Turn sauerkraut into a wire strainer, rinse well with water, and drain thoroughly.
Meanwhile, combine ground beef, instant soup, mustard, and Worcestershire; mix well and shape into 2 oval patties, each 1/2 inch thick.
In a wide frying pan over medium-high heat, cook patties until done to your liking, turning to brown both sides and adding oil if needed.
Top each patty with 1/2 the sauerkraut, drizzle with 1/2 the chili sauce, and top with 1 slice Swiss cheese.
Cover pan and cook just until cheese melts (1 to 2 minutes).
Place each meat patty on a slice of toasted bread; top with another slice of toasted bread.
