Ingredients
| Ground beef | 1 Pound | |
| 1 egg, fork beaten | ||
| 3 tablespoons fine dry breadcrumbs | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Thyme | 1/4 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green pepper | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Snipped parsley | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sharp cheddar cheese | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finley diced | |
Directions
Combine ground beef and a mixture of egg, crumbs, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and thyme.
Add onion, green pepper, parsley, and cheese; mix lightly but thoroughly.
Divide meat mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each into a 6-inch long "frankfurter." Wrap each with bacon to cover completely; fasten ends of bacon with wooden picks.
Thread each "frankfurter" lengthwise onto a skewer.
Grill about 4 inches from coals until meat is of desired doneness, about 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
