Grilled Chopped Steaks With Corn Relish Recipe

This grilled chopped steak recipe is prepared with ground beef shaped into patties and grilled. Served with a corn relish made of corn, tomato, cucumber and onions flavored with sugar and salt, the grilled chopped steaks are simply made yet flavorful.

Ingredients

 
Chopped Steaks:
 
1 lb. lean ground beef
 
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
 
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
 
1/2 tsp. salt
 
1/4 tsp. pepper
 
Corn Relish:
 
1 cup frozen corn, defrosted
 
1/2 cup seeded and chopped tomato
 
1/2 cup seeded and chopped cucumber
 
3 tbs. sliced green onions
 
1 1/2 tbs. cider vinegar
 
2 tsps. olive oil
 
1 tsp. sugar
 
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
 
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

In lg.bowl, combine chopped steak ingredients, mixing lightly but thoroughly.
Shape into four 3/4 inch thick patties.
Combine Corn Relish ingredients; toss to coat.
Set aside.Place patties on grid over medium coals.
Grill patties 10 -11 minutes or until no longer pink and juices run clear, turning once.
Serve with Corn Relish.Cook's Tip: For roasted corn relish, remove silk from 1 ear fresh corn on the cob.
Sprinkle with 2 tbs.water.
Pull husk up around corn and twist to close.
Place corn on grid over medium coals; cover grill.
Grill 15 - 20 minutes or until tender, turning occasionally.
Remove husk; cut kernels from cob for use in relish.
