Grilled Abalone Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound fresh or frozen abalone steaks
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 beaten egg
1 tablespoon milk
1 1/2 cups fine saltine cracker crumbs
1/4 cup butter or margarine
Directions
Thaw frozen abalone steaks.
Combine flour, salt, and pepper.
Combine egg and milk.
Dip steaks in flour mixture and then in egg mixture.
Coat each steak with cracker crumbs.
Melt butter or margarine in skillet; cook steaks 1 minute on each side.
Do not overcook.
Drain on paper toweling Serve piping hot.
