Grilled Yellowfin Tuna Recipe
Ingredients
| Tomato-Basil-Butter Sauce | ||
| 6 (5- to 7-oz.) yellowfin tuna or other red-flesh tuna steaks, about 1 inch thick | ||
| Olive oil | ||
| Butter | 1/2 Tablespoon (Tomato-Basil-Butter Sauce:) | |
| 3 small tomatoes, peeled, seeded, chopped | ||
| Sugar | 1/8 Teaspoon (Tomato-Basil-Butter Sauce:) | |
| 1/4 cup butter, room temperature | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced (Tomato-Basil-Butter Sauce:) | |
| Finely chopped basil | 1 Tablespoon (Tomato-Basil-Butter Sauce:) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Preheat grill; grease rack.
Prepare Tomato-Basil-Butter Sauce.
Rinse tuna; pat dry with paper towels.
Season rinsed tuna with salt and pepper.
Brush with olive oil.
Place on greased rack about 4 inches above hot coals or high heat.
Grill 1 to 2 minutes on each side, turning once.
Do not cook well-done.
Fish should remain rare and red in center.
Prepare Tomato-Basil-Butter Sauce.
