Grilled Turkey On Sesame Buns Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 boneless, skinless turkey breast slices (about 1/3 lb. total), about 1/4 inch thick | ||
| Olive oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 sesame sandwich or hamburger buns, split | ||
| Butter lettuce leaves | 2 Large, crisped | |
| 1 small pear-shaped tomato, sliced | ||
| 2 tablespoons reduced-calorie or regular mayonnaise | ||
| 1 teaspoon dry | 2 Teaspoon, minced | |
| Lemon peel | 1/4 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Rinse turkey and pat dry.
Stir together oil and lemon juice; brush mixture evenly over both sides of turkey slices, then over cut surfaces of buns.
Place turkey on a lightly greased grill 4 to 6 inches above a solid bed of medium-hot coals.
Cook, turning once, until meat is no longer pink in center; cut to test (about 3 minutes).
Also set buns, cut sides down, on a cooler area of grill; cook until lightly toasted (about 2 minutes).
Place a lettuce leaf, a turkey slice, and half the tomato slices on bottom half of each bun.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
